If you browse to hakkerman.eu, you will end up right here. Well no, you'll end up on my homepage, same-same.
You don't have to worry about updating your RSS feeds or whatever. hakkerblog.pages.dev is staying, in reality, hakkerman.eu is just pointing directly towards hakkerblog.pages.dev.
The main reason to get this URL for the time being was to get a better email address. Before I used simplelogin to avoid sharing my real day-to-day email address publically. It worked very well, but it did irk me that the address hakkerblog.harness624@aleeas.com looks quite amateurish (not that hakkerblog is the most proffesional website in the first place).
But now, you can reach me at hakkerman@hakkerman.eu, how's that for a professional email handle?
In the future, I plan on moving all the hosting to on-prem when my ISP situation allows. The important aspect for me is that this blog is portable so if (when) my current hosting solution enshitifies, I can simply move.
I hate to say it however, but Cloudflares free tier is very generous. This domain is the first thing I have paid for since I started blogging, so if you want to start blogging but don't want to spend any money, Cloudflares static page hosting might be worth investigating. I'd be happy to help you set it up if it feels daunting, feel free to send me a mail and I can guide you through how I use it.
